Who cannot Inherit the Kingdom of God

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

When we walk according to our carnality (sensuality), we will be like Paul describes in Romans 7:13-25, which is tormented in our soul and heart because we do not what we want and what we do is what we do not want to do!  This is the life of any believer who continues to walk according to their flesh.

How do we sow to the flesh?  When we do not yield to the Spirit in obedience to the Word by default, we will operate according to how we feel and through our perceived needs. If we are not serving the Lord through His Spirit, we will serve Self through how/what our flesh demands.  This is why Jesus tells us that to follow Him, we must put Self to death on the cross – daily; Luke 9:23.  When we operate according to our fleshly desires and fears, we cannot please the Lord (Romans 8:5-8) and make ourselves friends with the world because this is how they live; 1 John 2: 15-16.

Anyone who would desire to live their life for the Lord must have this understanding and live disciplined lives that will (purposely) serve God. By faith in the Lord (who He is and what He has done for us) we now live (and not according to Self and the world), and by His Spirit and grace, we can walk according to His will – Praise His name!

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Gal 6:7-8

We are warned that to continue to walk according to our flesh in our desires and fears will prevent our inheritance in the Kingdom of God.  No amount of believing in the Lord nor how much we confess and profess Christianity will grant us entrance – because it is what we do with this faith and comes down to it being a matter of if we walk in the lusts of our flesh or if we walk by faith and are led by the Spirit of God.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,  idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,  envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:19-21

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,  nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.  And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:9-11

Let us not be deceived, God is not mocked; what a man sows will be what he reaps; one will be corruption and death, the other everlasting life.

The Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed, sanctified and justified us – and it is now up to us to walk in His steps. He is the Way, the Truth and Life (John 14:6) – and God is looking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24). If you do not understand what this means you quite probably are a believer in the flesh who does not have the Spirit who gives us the ability to understand what is spiritual . See teaching on Salvation and the importance of the Holy Spirit.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor 2:13-14
