The Whole World Bows to its Idol – called Fear

The masses bow down to the idol paying homage.  Some call this idol, the science, others call it their duty to mankind.

Regardless what they call it, they all bow to it in fear.  Fear of death, fear of what others think of them, fear of stepping out of line, fear of the future, and the list goes on.

Fear is what takes hold of their hearts and who they listen to now. We either walk in fear or by faith (in Christ Jesus).

‘Cursed is the man who trusts in man to make flesh his strength! Whose heart departs from the Lord?’ says God.  ‘They do not see when good comes!’

This is the people who have jumped in with both feet in the worship of men and their ‘science.’ When the trumpets are sound, they all take their place of worship – complying to whatever the idol speaks.

God tests the hearts of men, to see who really trusts Him.  The day reveals much.

How they forget that it is plagues that God sends in judgment.  Plagues COME FROM GOD!

They run to their idol for the answer that belongs only to God to give:  Repent and believe in His Son, who died for all who have been bitten by the serpent! Look to Him, hanging on the cross and you will be saved. John 3:14-16 & Numbers 21.

The day of reckoning is upon us.  God in His mercy asks, ‘Who do you fear?  Who do you believe?’

The moment we come to our senses, is the day we truly see who rules the world and will desire to have nothing to do with its ways. 1 John 5:19, Ephes 2:1-3.

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.
For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes,
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not
fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the
mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:5-10
