The Chambers of the Lord

Only those who have spiritual eyes may see the Door to which the Lord dwells. We have access through the key of Jesus; John 14:6. In this place, we may find rest. Rest from sin and all its power; Matt 11:28-29. There is a god whose aim is to snare us from this place of safety, and he is successful in catching many; 1 John 5:18-20. He will use our senses and feelings and will speak to our minds with his persuasive arguments to lure us away; Rom 8:5-8. To those who hold the Key of Life, we must fill ourselves up with the Word of Life so we may be able to stand against his temptations; Ephes 4:22-24. God tells us to ‘be still and know I am God’ in times of great upset as well as times of quiet; Ps 46:10-11. He says, ‘I have come to give you rest’ and need only put our trust in Him and not on what our eyes see or mind tells us. We must be careful as if we give way to the lures of our enemy, our eyes will not see the Door to our place of safety because we will see all that he whispers or screams into our ears and hearts. We will be swept away into his territory if we give him our attention. Jesus showed us how to deal with the evil one and his temptations by knowing the scriptures, which is knowing the truth; Matt 4. If we do not seek to know what the truth in the Word is, we are easy prey for the most cunning adversary and be like those who James describes as being tossed to and fro because of having one foot in the truth of the Word and one in the kingdom and domain of Satan; James 4:4-10. The Lord’s dwelling is not found in this world nor is it in the science, philosophy nor even in the religion of men; John 18:36. If we place our trust in these – we are not where the Lord is, which is in the Spirit; 2 Cor 3:18-16

The Lord is our Master, and we tune in our heart, mind, eyes, and ears to Him in all our ways. We hear Him as He directs our paths; Pr 3:5-6. We sleep in perfect peace because our mind is on Him; Is 26:3. Our hearts are not filled with fear but with thanksgiving and praise because He is with us.

When the world consumes us, we will not have ears to hear the Lord. When the Lord consumes us, we will not be troubled nor moved by the world and will make it our daily doing to seek to find habitation in the Chambers of God.

Hebrews warns of a day of shaking. I believe we are in it. All who are rooted in the world and not in the Lord Jesus Christ will be clear:

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

For our God is a consuming fire. Heb 12:26-28
