Who are we, who live in the Kingdom of God?
Our life is not our own. We were lost, but have been found and are now hidden in Christ. When we walk in the light of Christ, we see what is true and quickly confess any sin the light exposes, and are washed by the blood of the Lamb. We do not look back, as those who escaped Egypt did, longing for the old way and loves but we fasten our eyes to the joy that is set before us – who is the Risen Lord Jesus Christ. As we do we are able to endure trials and tribulations and even overcome them.
Those who endure until the end are those who God welcomes; Matt 24:13. Those who do not endure are ones who fall away to their own lusts and fears in unbelief; Matt 13:21, Heb 6:4-6.
When we are abiding in the Vine; John 15, we will be producers of fruit that God accepts as it is of His Spirit; peace, righteousness and joy; Romans 14:17. Longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Gal 5:22-23.
When we say we love, this is the love we mean: Love; Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Cor 13:4-8.
We are accepted in the Beloved through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, He gives to us liberally and in power His grace in our weakness so that we may be overcomers and conformed into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ; Ephes 1:3-14. This grace is the very power that raised Christ from the grave (Rom 8:11) that is able to change us into new creations no longer subject to sin; 2 Cor 5:17.
When we walk according to the Spirit and not our flesh (Rom 8:1-8) nothing can come against us to separate us from God’s love; (Rom 8:37-39) – but we must take care to guard our heart and mind so we are not deceived; 1 Tim 6:21. For then it is we who turns from Him, the Living God, to walk toward death. God remains faithful to His Word, and will always accept us when we turn back to Him, but will let us go if we choose to turn to our own ways. For when we deny Him, He denies us; 2 Tim 2:11-13.
We have been given the Holy Spirit as our Helper, to walk here on earth. He enables us to walk in the Spirit as we deny our flesh, and we are able to grow in the grace of God. Daily, we must submit to God and resist the devil. We battle continuously to keep our flesh man/ old Adam in the grave, dead and buried – and in so doing do not become its slave. This is our plight, which is our sanctification and the way unto our Salvation that is promised to us. We must live soberly and circumspectly for the reality is, when we sow to our flesh, that is if we serve our fleshly appetites (our lusts), we are going to reap its wages, which is sin and death; Gal 6:8, Rom 6:23. We prove who we serve, by who we obey; Rom 6:16. The flesh and sin, or God and His Spirit. He has given us all things that we need to live as overcomers, and it is up to us, to take up our cross (and live crucified) to our flesh and this world; Gal 2:20, Gal 6:14.
Satan’s Trick
There is a lie out there that I believe the Lord hates. Many are taking the grace of God and twisting it, and the very thing that Paul spoke against;
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Romans 6:1-2
This doctrine says that no matter what we do (practice sin), or not do (obey God) – it does not matter because Jesus paid for it and all we have to do is believe. To ‘try’ to do anything, is to be in unbelief. This false doctrine is spreading like wildfire and the many are gleefully taking it in. This alone should reveal where its origins are from, for the way of Jesus – only a few will take its path because it is hard and difficult. Whereas this (false) grace boasted as being ‘effortless’ – which again speaks volumes, and of course many will sign up! This dangerous teaching, is so very close to the real thing, for much of it is agreeable, but you smell its corruption very quickly as you pay attention and listen to the speak they all share:
“I am the righteousness of God!” “I am already Perfect” “When we try to be right with God when God already made us right it’s religion!”
This teaching puts all who are true and faithful followers of Jesus Christ as legalists and Pharisees and are counted as the enemy! They have taken working out our Salvation (sanctification) – with fear and trembling; Phil 2: 11-13, as denying the Lord and walking in unbelief.
Peter spoke about people such as these, saying:
and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 2 Pet 3:15-17
Paul’s testimony was one that was not pleasant and most certainly not without effort on his behalf. His work and testimony have been written for us to read through his writings which disqualify much of what they say. I liken this doctrine to one who has cherry-picked the choicest of verses and with great cunning and skill has sewed them together into the masterpiece called the ‘gospel of grace” and believe it one of the devils best works against the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
This is not surprising as this has been predicted – but it still is troubling nonetheless.
This Documentary explains it well: Hyper Grace.
