The Gospel revealed in 18 Words

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been misunderstood and misspoken to the point today (I dare say) where it would be unrecognizable if it were shared with our brothers and sisters in the early church.  Calvinism, Arminianism and Antinomianism all contending for authority on knowing and explaining the revealed gospel of Jesus Christ.  Who really knows the true Gospel?  Why the Author of Salvation of course! Heb 2.

The Word (Jesus), became flesh – and began sharing with us the mystery of Salvation!  John 1:1-16.

We must each be sure we are established in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our Salvation depends upon this; 2 Cor 13:5.  Jesus is our teacher, His word is alive, and when we know it – in the truest sense we are spiritually alive.

I believe that Jesus spoke the entire Gospel in the simplicity of these words:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

Jesus is the WayJohn 10:9   Acts 4:12.  Matt 1:21.

In order to go in the Way, we must believe; John 3:16, John 3:36

To prove we believe is to follow who we claim to believe!  For faith without works – is dead:  James 2:14-26

Following in the Way involves:

Jesus is the Truth. This truth can only be understood by His Spirit.  To gain this understanding, we must follow in the Way. 1 John 5:20John 14:16-18. John 16:13.  Anyone who does not have the Spirit will not be taught by God and not delight in the scriptures; 1 Cor 2:14, 2 Cor 4:3-6.

Jesus is the Life;  We have His Life, because He laid it down for us and God raised Him up in resurrection; John 11:25.  For us to be partaker of the divine life He gives we must follow Him in the Way, and in Spirit and Truth; John 15:1-8, John 4:23-24.  God made a way only He could do and was told way before; Is 35, Is 53, Is 61.

No one comes to the Father;  No one will be reconciled to God unless it is through His Son; Ephes 2:14-18.  Many pray to God, but not all have been reconciled.  Those who have, can come boldly to the throne of God and offer prayers and petition, thanksgiving and praise; Heb 4:16 and He hears.  Those who have not, his ears are shut to them; John 9:31.

All who follow Jesus will bear witness of Him and be a people who will reveal to those around them that they are His; Rom 8:16.  Followers of Christ make the choice to separate themselves from what is commonly accepted among the world; 1 Pet 1:13-16.  They enjoy coming together to share and talk of their love of Jesus; Heb 10:24-25, 1 John 1:2-4.  They know they are His and will not have doubt or fear, as well as not take this for granted and be careful to walk in the Light; 1 John 1:6-8.

Followers of Jesus are not perfect but are continually being perfected in Him AS we daily submit to God and resist temptations the devil brings.   God is glorified in us through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord – and this is the gospel and our testimony.
