Peace is what the world searches for, but will never find it.  There are things that are given and taken as peace that are counterfeit and we who are of the Household of God in Christ our Lord should pursue for what is true and lasting and what will sustain us.  Peace never comes in a bottle, a prescription or escape.

Let us understand that peace is not only a feeling, it is the very person of Jesus Christ!  Have a look at verses in the bible that describe peace.  Let your heart drink in and receive His Peace for us – today.

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Is 9:6

• We can lie down and sleep in it; I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
  For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
• Can be counterfeit; Do not take me away with the wicked
  And with the workers of iniquity,
  Who speak peace to their neighbors,
  But evil is in their hearts. Psalm 28:3
• Is a blessing from the Lord; The Lord will give strength to His people;
  The Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11
• Something we must seek for; Depart from evil and do good;
  Seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14
• Those who are meek gain it; But the meek shall inherit the earth,
  And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 37:11
• When we fight for/with God we gain it; He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me,
  For there were many against me. Psalm 55:18
• It accompanies with mercy, truth and righteousness; Mercy and truth have met together;  Righteousness and peace have kissed. Psalm 85:10
• Is given to those who love the laws of God; Great peace have those who love Your law,  And nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm 119:165
• It is added to us who do not forget the Law of God; My son, do not forget my law,
  But let your heart keep my commands;
  ² For length of days and long life
  And peace they will add to you. Prov 3:1-2
• It keeps us among difficult people; He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor,  But a man of understanding holds his peace. Prov 11:12
• Those who have peace also have joy; Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,  But counselors of peace have joy. Prov 12:20
• As we please the Lord, He gives us peace with our enemies; When a man’s ways please the Lord,  e makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Prov 16:7
• We are associated with the household of God; Blessed are the peacemakers,
  For they shall be called sons of God. Matt 5:9
• It is a power; If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. Matt 10:13
• Jesus promises it to His disciples; Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
• Peace comes through Christ; Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom 5:1
• We gain it as we are spiritually minded; For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6
• It is part of the essence of the Kingdom of God; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
• It is the evidence of God’s presence upon us; For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 1 Cor 14:33
• It is one of the fruit’s of the Holy Spirit; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control. Gal 5:22, 23
• We must allow for it; And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Col 3:15
• We must pursue it; Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 1 Tim 2:22
• An agent so we may operate in righteousness; Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:18
• When we keep our mind and trust upon God; You will keep him in perfect peace,
  Whose mind is stayed on You,
  Because he trusts in You. Is 26:3
