There is a secret that was never meant to be one among us and so it must be spoken about.   We as the children of God, need to hear this and for those who may already know it’s worth a refreshing!  What I relay can be a matter of life and death for some and for others a shift in gaining a proper perspective that will alleviate much stress.  Though it is not a battle strategy – in itself, it certainly operates as one.  What is this I am talking about?  What if you were told that there is power in the praises of God’s people when we lift His name up in acknowledgement of His majesty?  Or that if we were to become a rejoicing and thankful people our lives would dramatically change?  Oh yes, some of us know this, but most who do don’t actually believe it to be true – otherwise they would be a praising and rejoicing people – right?

As we lift praises to God the (demonic) spiritual realm is knocked into a frenzy, because they cannot stand to hear such worship to God, let alone be in its presence.  The enemy of God is dismayed when we do not play with them to cower and fall in what they attempt to threaten us with.  We instead do not give way but resolve to lift up the name of our God – no matter what.  When we praise God we are bringing glory to Him and so He sits on the throne among us, receiving from His children their praises, in His joy as we humble ourselves in this way we receive His blessing.  As we do this as a regular practice, we grow into it and it becomes more natural and normal to us, in fact the more we do it, the more we want to do it.  So I say let our words form continual praise to Him during our day and become singers before Him!  Who cares if you can carry a tune or not!  It’s not about you – it’s all about Him.  Let’s turn off our radios, TVs and computers – and make our own music to our Lord and sing to God in our routines where our hearts declare His love and goodness to the open air!  For in doing so it is like spraying the most powerful pesticide over all demonic pests encircling us!  The fog around us will clear, our heart and mind will be settled and we will receive His peace.  Praise always honors God and brings glory to Him and will center our mind and we align with (God’s) truth.  Open up the Book of Psalms and see how the psalmist has walked through hard things – and remained rooted in God, learn the art of praise – by reading these.  Praise to God is our love song to Him, our confession and affirming to Him that He is our God and He is God over all things.  When we offer Him our praise and thanksgiving and rejoice always – we are rolling out the red carpet if you will so He may walk among us to do His bidding – amid the satanic hordes.  I can imagine seeing the demons fleeing in such an atmosphere for their hatred of such adoration and for fear of its truth. Battles are fought and won; 2 Chron 20: 21-23  simply from hearts that praise God; Acts 16:25-26.

Let the practice of praising God be no longer like an unknown secret – and may we join together in bringing to Him honor due His name over all the earth.   I promise you, it will be life changing not only for you, but for others.

Alternatively, when we are a people who grumble, complain and talk about the ‘bad’ going on in our lives and the lives of others, we are glorifying this. If we are not careful we can be easily consumed into a dark and negative world. Satan dwells in this type of atmosphere and conducts a profitable business in such places, do not be partakers in giving Satan glory any longer!

Violence shall no longer be heard in your land,
Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders;
But you shall call your walls Salvation,
And your gates Praise. Isaiah 60:18

Let us instead fortify our walls with daily songs of praise, words of thanksgiving and the habit to rejoice in our God in all things who is worthy!
